ISE 2018 will see the return of Alcons Audio’s popular Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience as it celebrates its 15th anniversary.
The company will also unveil new products and discuss its technology partnership with the new World Masters of Projection Mapping competition.
For the Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience, Alcons will again be teaming up with Astro Spatial Audio (ASA) for pro installation applications and with Trinnov, DreamScreen and Sony for residential projects. Immersive sound demonstrations will take place hourly in an acoustically-optimised room, alternating between each market. The audio system will be a hybrid 9.X.8 immersive surround configuration, used to reproduce native and upmixed Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D and DTS:X content, as well as ASA 3D material using the company’s SARA II Premium Rendering Engine.
Alcons will also be discussing its role as an official technology partner for the World Masters of Projection Mapping, a new competition being produced as a co-operative venture between Amsterdam Light Festival, ISE and the RAI Amsterdam.
“The best way to experience the quality and power of our systems is to hear them for yourself. Audience expectations have never been higher and, by working collaboratively, sound and vision manufacturers can deliver an unrivalled sensory experience,” said Alcons co-founder Tom Back.
