Abbey Road Institute Australia to relocate to Sydney’s Studios 301

Abbey Road Institute Australia, the Antipodean arm of the famous London studio’s music production school, is set to relocate to Studios 301 in Sydney.

Previously based in Melbourne, Abbey Road Institute Australia will start its next year-long course in June 2021 from the new base in New South Wales.

The Institute offers students the chance to work towards the Advanced Diploma in Music Industry, while training with industry experts on professional audio equipment.

The studio is kitted out with equipment from British loudspeaker firm PMC (The Professional Monitor Company Ltd). This includes QB1-A monitors for its main Control Room One and MB3 XBD-A monitors for Control Rooms Two and Three along with Mastering Rooms Two and Three.

The remaining control rooms and production suites are all equipped with PMC’s twotwo monitors.

Developed as a training ground for the next generation of music producers and sound engineers, the Abbey Road Institute first opened alongside the famous studio in North London.

The Institute has since opened a number of international schools in partnership with recording studios in Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Johannesburg and Miami.
