AES Show Spring 2021: 150th convention kicks off this week

The AES Show Spring 2021, the Audio Engineering Society’s 150th international convention, begins tomorrow (25 May), focusing on the theme of ‘global resonance’.

The four-day convention will feature 65 workshops and panel discussions as well as eight Tech Tours, with 72 hours of scheduled streaming sessions across two channels.

A Zoom room will be packed with Q&A and interactive dialogue sessions, while the event will also offer extensive networking opportunities.

Keynote speakers include Grammy-winning artist Laurie Anderson, audio pioneer, technologist and Grammy Award winner George Massenburg, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Hank Shocklee.

The AES Show will once again offer a diverse array of opportunities for audio students and those looking to expand their career options.

Topical presentations, workshops and events will cover everything from Acoustics & Psychoacoustics and Archiving & Restoration to Automotive Audio and Electronic Instrument Design & Applications.

The convention will also include virtual tours of some of the world’s leading studios and production facilities. 

The show will also include a series of Women in Audio Special Events along with the Abbey Road Spatial Audio Forum.

AES members can register at a discounted rate of just $139 ($99 for AES Student Members), with the cost for non-AES members of $264 including one year of full Audio Engineering Society Membership and benefits.
