Anderson Group International upgrades subwoofer system with Powersoft and Fulcrum Acoustics

Supplier of sound systems for national acts in the region of Eugene, Oregon, Anderson Group International (AGI) recently saw its owner Kyle Anderson upgrade the low end of his system with an investment in four Fulcrum Acoustics US221 dual 21" subwoofers powered by a single Powersoft K20 DSP+ETH amplifier.

The two-channel Powersoft K20, which provides 2,700 watts/channel at eight ohms, 5,200 watts/channel at four ohms and 9000 watts/channel at 2 ohms, is designed to supply ample headroom for the new subwoofer system. Equipped with the optional KDSP board that offers a suite of digital signal processing, the unit is further enhanced with the inclusion of the optional KAESOP Ethernet/AES3 interface. Together they offer sound shaping and system management remotely controllable via Powersoft Armonía Pro Audio Suite software.

"We wouldn’t have used Powersoft if we didn’t think it was better than anything else available," said Anderson. "We plan on upgrading our monitor system next and will be using Powersoft amplifiers there, too."

In addition to national acts, AGI works with various local Christian artists, as well as providing sound production for regional festivals and corporate events.

Anderson concluded: "The incredible thing is how many amps you don’t need when using Powersoft – I’m looking forward to throwing away racks. Who knows? Maybe I can even downsize my truck."
