Audio Media October digital edition now available

While the October issue of Audio Media is making its ways to studios, post-production houses, and all sorts of audio specialists, the digital edition is available right now to view online.

This month we tackled the dark art of acoustics and room treatments talking to a number of specialists in the field and finding out what the latest trends are with a focus on the rise of the home studio.

Audio Media deputy editor Jory MacKay sat down with Punchdrunk’s Stephen Dobbie to hear about the London company’s latest immersive theatre project and how he used sound design to create a narrative for the production.

For this month’s technology focus we turned to studio outboard gear, looking at the latest gear from company’s such as AMS Neve, API, JDK, Prism Sound, Presonus and more.

Our reviewers got their hands dirty with a wide range of kit including Sound Device’s new 664 production field mixer, Radial Engineering’s Gold Digger and Cherry Picker, and an in-depth look at the brand new Pro Tools PC from The-Pro-Tools-Expert and Rain Computers UK.

All this plus news from IBC, PLASA and AES, a focus on the UAE pro audio market, and interviews with Galaxy Studio’s Wilfried Van Baelen, OMUK’s Mark Estdale, and recording industry consultant Dave Harries.
