Audio-Technica’s German office appoints APG product manager

Audio-Technica Germany, APG’s German distributor, has hired Andreas Rimroth as its in-house APG product manager.

Rimroth will be responsible for business development and technical support throughout Germany. The news comes shortly after APG’s appointment of Eve Redero, who now manages all electronics-based R&D projects at the company’s headquarters in Paris.

Having previously worked for several years as a live sound engineer, Rimroth spent the last nine years at Avid in the UK as a field service engineer, before moving up to field service manager for the live sound sector.

“Audio-Technica has offered me exactly the kind of position I was hoping for,” said Rimroth. “After more than 15 years in the UK, I was looking to come back to Germany, and the post with Audio-Technica was just the sort of challenge I was looking for. APG is an excellent brand with world class products that I shall be honoured to represent in Germany. The potential for growth is there – it’s up to me and the rest of the Audio-Technica team to exploit it.”

APG’s international business development director, Xavier Pion, added: “Firstly, it’s good to see the commitment to APG on behalf of Audio-Technica. I am sure that having a dedicated product manager will make a big difference to the profile of APG in Germany.

"Secondly, I think that Andreas is an excellent choice. We waited a long time to find the right person, and Andreas has all the qualities we were looking for – plenty of experience of the live sound market, including installations; a good understanding of how distribution and dealerships work as well as the process of investment in the rental business and of course an extremely solid technical background. I am convinced he will be an excellent ambassador for APG in Germany and we’re all looking forward to working with him.”
