Azule Finance facilitates Splice TV?s ?1m expansion

UK post-production facility Splice TV has announced a substantial expansion as part of a £1m investment programme financed by Azule Finance.

Now located on the top floor of its premises in Perseverance Works, Shoreditch, London, the company has invested in a range of new equipment via a leasing solution from Azule Finance, including a Baselight grading theatre, increased Isilon Storage now amounting to over 200 terabytes, increased Avid Isis storage and a fleet of new Avid editing suites each running 2K resolutions – an industry first.

Since forming in 2002, Splice has garnered a high-end reputation as one of the UK’s leading post-production facilities, having picked up the the ‘Highly Commended’ accolade at the 2010 Broadcast Awards. Furthermore, its client list includes such production companies as Warp Films, Fresh One and Keo Films.

Duncan Western, creative director of Splice, explained the company’s new development: “The opening of this new floor represents Splice’s transition into a force to truly be reckoned with. We have a long standing relationship with Azule Finance and these new facilities will ensure we are best positioned to meet the demands of this ever evolving industry, helping to shape what will be a great year for Splice.”

Gavin Scott, sales director at Azule Finance, commented: “For a relatively new company, Splice is already well respected within the industry and its top floor expansion is set to build on this even further. Its creation of services like the grading theatre and new Avid suites will enable the company to position itself amongst the main players and become even more competitive in the post industry. This deal demonstrates both Splice’s ongoing commitment to providing an exceptional service for its clients and its growing position in an increasingly competitive marketplace.”
