Burn Out Festival to launch in July 2012

Taking place from July 27th-29th at The George, Andover, inaugural UK event Burn Out Festival is set to provide a key platform for some of the country’s brightest young bands and artists.

The debut festival will see more than 25 bands take to the stage across three days, with a host of additional performers yet to be announced. Currently confirmed for Burn Out Festival on Friday 27th are Don Broco, Mallory Knox and Treasures, whilst Saturday 28th will see US act Agitator, TRC and Hang the Bastard grace the line-up. Meanwhile, The Xcerts, Canterbury and Yearbook have been confirmed for Sunday 29th.

Dom Patience, festival founder and owner of music promotion company Chalk Ink, explained the philosophy behind the festival: “The idea is big bands, small venue. Everyone loves a good festival, but we want to break the mould. We want to provide 150 people with that one amazing memory instead of one that is shared with thousands. Not only is it to showcase some of the best new and establishing UK acts but give local bands the opportunity to shine in front of a new crowd.”
