Focusrite announces Dream Recording Competition

In celebration of Focusrite Audio Engineering’s 25th Anniversary (and 29 years since the Focusrite brand was created) the firm has launched a Dream Recording Competition.

The company is offering bands the opportunity to record a track with Grammy Award-winning producer Guy Massey at AIR Studios.

The winners will get an all expenses paid weekend trip to the legendary London facility, where Focusrite’s original Rupert Neve-designed recording console modules are still in place.

Massey (The Beatles, Manic Street Preachers, Ed Sheeran) will take control of the recording session, helping the musicians to craft their song to perfection before the recording and mixing process gets underway. Finally, the end product will be sent to "one of London’s finest mastering engineers," Focusrite says.

As another part of its anniversary celebrations, Focusrite has also completed a new documentary on the history of the company, which you can see below.
