Gearslutz changes name after campaign proves successful is no more – is the new name for the site and associated social channels.

After a campaign attracted 4,951 votes and social media pressure, founder Jules Standen issued the following statemenent.

“After nearly two decades, it feels great to move forward with a more progressive and inclusive name,” says Founder Jules Standen. “We’re certain our new name, Gearspace, will stand the test of time and provide a more all-encompassing platform for the pro audio industry.”

The site currently attracts 3.4m visits per month, according to Similarweb.

The domain remains active.

Previously  Standen said he understands that some people found saying the old name of the site embarrassing and admitted that the name didn’t go down well with church groups. Full video below.
