Genelec introduces 4000 series monitors

Genelec has announced the launch of the 4000 series two-way active monitors, marking the company’s first foray into the commercial A/V market.

Both models of the 4000 series, the 4020 and the 4030, are fitted with ‘Phoenix’ screw terminals. The in-built protection circuitry is designed to provide reliability, as drivers are electronically protected from signal peaks and misuse of the system. Its Directive Control Waveguide (DCW) is formed by blending the new MDC driver surface with the enclosure’s front shape to provide control of the speaker’s directivity.

The ‘Room Response’ controls include calibrated bass tilt, treble tilt and bass roll-off, which are aimed at optimising the loudspeakers response to different acoustical environments.

The series is also designed for simple mounting. Its integrated support points for Omnimount 20.5 series hardware on the enclosure back panel and the 3/8” UNC threaded hole at the base of the enclosure, combined with the wide variety of mounting options and accessories available from Genelec, are intended to provide installation versatility.
