Happy Monday?s set to reunite in 2012

Following in the steps of The Stone Roses, The Happy Mondays look set to reunite in 2012, with a comeback tour and an on-the-road documentary looking increasingly likely, CMU has reported.

With the live music landscape looking ever more like 1990, The Happy Mondays appear to have been presented with a major opportunity to cash in on the current wave of late 80s/early 90s nostalgia precipitated by the recent reunion of The Stone Roses.

It has been suggested by some that The Happy Mondays may well support The Stone Roses on their money-spinning comeback tour, while other corners of the industry are hinting that he band’s 1990 album Pills N Thrills And Bellyaches will also be re-released to coincide with the reformation.

Reports have also surfaced indicating that a documentary following the band’s reunion will also get the go ahead, in a move that will undoubtedly line the pockets of those involved even further.
