HARMAN?s JBL Entertainment loudspeakers used in China?s karaoke scene

JBL’s Entertainment line of loudspeakers has been installed in the popular karaoke venue, the Music Box, in the Chinese city of Guangzhou.

The Entertainment line of loudspeakers was launched by HARMAN’s JBL in China in November 2011. It was designed specifically for the burgeoning Chinese karaoke market—known as KTV in China itself—and provides a high fidelity sound quality which provides clarity and intelligibility of the voice ideal for those singing their hearts out providing the best audience and performer experience possible.

Indeed, the Music Box has become famous for the quality of its audio system and is very popular amongst Karaoke-goers of this city of over 12 million.

Music Box itself has 128 rooms in total ranging from 10 to 100 square metres in size. As with many KTV’s it features touch screen karaoke machines which have constantly updated song databases.

Music Box turned to JBL kit in order to provide the audio for the whole array of rooms it provides to customers.

In the two club rooms—ranging from 80 to 100 square metres in size—they have installed two JBL KS312 12-inch full range loudspeakers and two KP612 full range loudspeakers. These are powered by Crown XTi4000s amplifiers.

In the 17 luxury VIP rooms—ranging from 28 to 50 square metres—they have installed four JBL KS312 powered by Crown XTi4000s amplifiers.

In the 40 luxury party rooms—ranging from 18 to 28 square metres—they have installed two JBL KS312 loudspeakers and two JBL KS310’s. These are powered by Crown XTi4000’s and Crown XTi2000’s, respectively.

In the 71 mini, small and medium rooms—ranging from 10 to 18 square metres—they have installed a pair of 10-inch JBL KS310 full range loudspeakers. These are powered by a Crown XTi2000 amplifier per pair of speakers.
