Harrison is launching the newest version of the MPC series: the MPC5. The first two MPC5 systems are underway at Harrison’s factory in Nashville.
Creative Sound, a film post-production facility in France, has chosen a large format Harrison MPC5 digital film mixing console for its new facility located near the Rue du Commerce area of central Paris. The new MPC5 will be the centrepiece in a new 450 cubic metre film mixing stage that will also include Dolby’s new Atmos immersive 3D sound system. The console will include a 672 input Harrison Xrange 64-bit processing engine, a full suite of Harrison Xtools film specific plug-ins and a dual operator MPC5 control surface featuring twin master sections, 80 faders with 64 full featured input strips and Harrison’s ESP Waveform displays. Twin producer desks mounted at 10 degrees on the far left and right ends round out the wrap-around console surface that will span 18.5 feet (5.75m).
Sony Pictures has ordered a Harrison MPC5 digital film mixing console for the newly renovated Stage 17 in Sony Pictures Studios, Culver City, California. The console will include a 144 channel Harrison Xrange 64-bit processing engine, a full suite of Harrison Xtools film specific plug-ins and an MPC5 control surface featuring 40 faders with 32 full featured input strips and Harrison’s ESP Waveform displays.
