Hooked In To AKG

AKG launched its new C111LP earhook microphone at PL+S in Frankfurt, aimed at onstage performers and corporate speakers. Constructed from stainless steel, it has a pliable, strong frame which can be adjusted to fit the head of any performer. It features a small skin-coloured boom and weight just 7g. It connects to all AKG pocket transmitters via three-pin mini XLR for easy integration.

Also launched at the show were its revamped digital automatic microphone mixers, DMM6 and DMM12. DMM12 offers 12 inputs. Its four line outputs (two stereo) are individually assignable for each input. The stereo record outputs are individually assignable, while the headphone out port allows users to listen to each input and output individually. The DMM6 offers six inputs and two line outputs.

The company also chose PL+S to launch its new K612PRO and K712PRO Reference Headphones. The K612PRO is an open-back, circumaural dynamic headphone. It has a self-adjusting, glove-leather headband with aluminum arches and solid rivets. The K712PRO is a new top-of-the-line reference headphone. It features an open-back design, three dB improved low-end performance, flat wire voice coil and a detachable professional cable.
