IBC 2011 exhibition opens today

Today sees the IBC 2011 exhibition open its doors, with a number of keynote sessions and speakers to get things underway.

As one of the event’s key speakers, Joanna Shields, vice president and managing director EMEA from Facebook will kick things off at 09:30 with a talk through her vision of social media and its relationship with advertising and broadcast. Then at 13:30, Radio Spectrum Policy and how to meet new demands with the growth of wireless services will be discussed in depth by a leading panel.

Furthermore, one of the day’s leading attractions will be the exclusive free session in the IBC Big Screen at 16:00, in which James Cameron and Vince Pace will discuss the myths of 3D and how profitable it is for the world of broadcasting.

As well as these keynote sessions, there will also a whole host of notable exhibits and attractions taking place during IBC 2011.
