In The Redd

Waves Audio has teamed up with London’s Abbey Road Studios to introduce the new REDD Console plug-ins. The REDD consoles were used to record artists such as The Beatles, The Hollies and Pink Floyd. Waves has recreated the unique colour, character and tonal complexity of the original desks: the REDD. 17 which still belongs to Abbey Road Studios, and the REDD.37 console which is now owned by Lenny Kravitz.

“Most of the original REDD consoles have been lost over time, but by using the few examples left over and studying the original schematics and design notes from the archive, I believe Waves and Abbey Road have revived an important part of musical history,” said Mirek Stiles, Head of Audio Products at Abbey Road Studios.
