InfoComm 2012: Clear-Com expands Optocore partnership

Clear-Com has expanded its partnership with Optocore/BroaMan and will now distribute the DiViNe V3R-FX-INTERCOM with SDI.

Visitors to the show will be able to see demonstrations of the DiViNe V3R-FX-INTERCOM with SDI at Clear-Com’s booth (C10345).

The DiViNe V3R-FX-INTERCOM with SDI is designed for use in any setup demanding high quality audio, video, data and intercom, providing scalable, protocol-independent routing, repeating, transport and distribution of multiple signals over optical fibre. It comes equipped with (four) four-wire RJ45 matrix ports and (four) four-wire RJ45 panel ports so that either matrices or intercom panels can be connected to the unit using standard CAT cables. Users can send audio and control data from Clear-Com key panels or matrices transparently via the optical network. The unit is capable of housing up to six SD/HD/3G-SDI coaxial video inputs, or outputs that are converted to and from single-mode DiViNe optical fiber links.

“Whether it’s a transportation hub, a university looking to broadcast sporting events and live music performances internally, or professional broadcasters handling a large remote event, the ability to set up a video, audio, communications and data backbone quickly and efficiently is there,” said Bob Boster, president of Clear-Com. “We are happy to partner with Optocore once again to bring further connectivity options to our users.”

Along with the DiViNe V3R-FX-INTERCOM-SDI, Clear-Com also distributes the V3R-FX-INTERCOM and X6R-FX-INTERCOM Optocore intercom interfaces.

To demonstrate the capabilities of the DiViNe V3R-FX-INTERCOM-SDI at InfoComm, a fibre-optic cable will be installed between the Clear-Com booth (C10345) and the Optocore/BroaMan booth (Booth C10350). Video signals from a HD camera situated at the Clear-Com booth will be transported over the fibre cable to the Optocore booth, where a DiViNe V3R-FX-INTERCOM-SDI will be in place that will take the video out to a video monitor. The Optocore booth will also be able to control the camera. Additioanlly, Clear-Com’s V-Series panels will be placed at both booths, connected back to a Clear-Com Eclipse Matrix, allowing the Clear-Com and Optocore staff to communicate with one another.
