JHS hosts record-breaking event

The organisers of the JHS Event 2011 have reported a record turnout for this year’s show.

Those from the Pro Audio, rental and PA sectors turned out to see, hear and test out new products, watch performances, and mingle with a number of industry stalwarts. Attendance at Event 2011 rose by 20 per cent from last year.

Visitors were entertained with music from two live stages, each providing rock sets delivered through HK Audio Elements PA systems, and driven from the back by drummer Bob Henrit, featuring Oliver/Dawson Saxon, Jerry Donahue, Bad Company’s Dave ‘Bucket’ Colwell, Thomas Blug, John Verity, Jamie Mallender, Paul Rogers Band guitarist Paul Guerin, and blues guitarists Chantel McGregor and Clare Free.

Suppliers representatives from HK Audio, Allen & Heath, and Tannoy Lab.gruppen/Lake were available to talk to, as well as Neville and Stuart, the JHS Pro Audio boys.

New products on display and demonstrated were from HK Audio, including the SoundCaddy One – ‘the world’s fastest PA’ – and the full range of Allen & Heath mixers.

Tannoys VNET 215HL sub woofer was introduced as an ideal compliment to the VQ Live range making its Event debut. Lab.gruppen power amplifiers and Lake LM26 processing were also demonstrated, while USA Kustom and Fishman showcased some new, small venue, portable amplification and PA systems.

Dennis Drumm, Managing Director of JHS, said: “As the sun set on JHS EVENT 2011, it’d be accurate to say that in terms of visitor numbers, and business written, the occasion was another record breaking success. Those who came clearly enjoyed themselves, did business, got the deals, got the new stuff first, smoothed their summer cash flow courtesy of the special JHS EVENT terms, set themselves up for the Q4 selling season – and made a lot of extra profit.”
