Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl performance receives sound complaints from TV viewers

Justin Timberlake’s performance during the Super Bowl’s halftime show this weekend has received numerous complaints after many TV viewers said they could not hear the singer’s vocals properly.

Timberlake showcased some of his new music before playing some of his older, more popular hits at Minneapolis’s U.S. Bank Stadium.

Many complained about strange sound mixing and editing on set, with Timberlake’s vocals, especially in the first segment of the performance, often drowned out by the backing track or muted altogether.

Prior to this, Timberlake – who was backed up by a live band as well as a marching band – performed a tribute to Prince in front of a giant projection of the music legend, and Minneapolis’s hometown hero who died in April 2016.

Many took to Twitter to express their concerns about the show:

Some viewers, mostly on the East Coast, said that the 14-minute performance was plagued by audio problems.
