London club goes beyond 3D audio to offer full sensory experience

A new London club is going further than the 3D experience offered by immersive sound by affecting all five human senses in its Sensorium room.

Aures is located in the graffiti-filled tunnel of Leake Street in Waterloo, south London.

Its Sensorium room – currently in its beta stages – is decked out with Pioneer Pro Audio tech, with 50 speakers and 10 amplifiers plus a PA system. The 3D sound and lighting design was installed in partnership with R&D company Titan Reality.

The second phase is ‘taste’ (food and drink choices) with a scent delivery installation from Azzi Glassi scheduled next. A 3D mapping visualation projection from Titan Reality is also planned for later this year.

The final stages are a low frequency bone conduction effect from Titan Reality – i.e vibrations through the floor. It will be finished with a five surface acoustic treatment from Titan Reality.

The club’s creator Sam Davis told Metro: "Aures London will be able to be used by artists and brands to create the most immersive and memorable experience for their audience as possible by touching on as many or as little sensory memory triggers the need to convey their message."
