Major brands continue to support Prolight + Sound Shanghai

Taking place from October 11th-14th at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China, Prolight + Sound Shanghai is set to attract over 400 exhibitors for the tenth edition of the show, with a host of leading brand continuing to support the event.

Organised jointly by Messe Frankfurt (HK) and INTEX, Prolight + Sound Shanghai has revealed that more than 400 exhibitors have signed up for the 2012 show, including 4-acoustic, Aboutshow, ADJ, Behringer, Coolux, DTS, Elation, JBL, Laserworld, Martin Professional, Pangolin, Sennheiser, Taiden, TW Audio and Xilica.

Commenting on the show’s development, Mr Evan Sha, general manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) said: “Over the past ten years, Prolight + Sound Shanghai has taken many initiatives to strengthen and enhance the Chinese entertainment technology industry, not only by offering a marketplace for exhibitors to showcase their products, but also to give access to encourage the exchange of ideas.”

Sennheiser, a long-term German exhibitor, is optimistic about the company’s performance in China. Mr Marc Vincent, president of Greater China, Sennheiser, commented: “We foresee a 20 per cent growth per annum in the coming three years, which will rank Sennheiser Greater China as either the third or fourth largest sales subsidiary worldwide by end of 2015.” This year’s show will see the company introduce its new XS Wireless Series microphone and Neumann Capsule Heads for the Sennheiser 2000 Series Wireless System.

Leading Chinese audio manufacturer for large international events, LAX, organised the pro-audio system for the official opening and closing ceremonies as well as all competitions for the 2012 Asian Beach Games held at Haiyang, China. The company has exhibited at Prolight + Sound Shanghai for the past seven years. Mr Ken Lau from LAX’s International Affairs Department, noted: “Shanghai, being one of the most important commercial cities in China, is an important window to reach the global market and Prolight + Sound Shanghai allows us to get closer to our target with direct access to international buyers, as well as to know the needs of buyers.”

First time exhibitor Martin Professional will celebrate its 25th anniversary at Prolight + Sound Shanghai, claiming that Prolight + Sound Shanghai is an effective promotion channel for the brand. Mr Andrew Kong, Marketing manager for Martin Professional (HK) said: “Prolight + Sound Shanghai is a good platform to showcase the latest Martin’s products. The show also helps expand the network with industry users as well as end users from lighting designers to theatre academies.”
