Miloco teams up with three more European studios

Bieger Sound in Berlin, Greystoke Studio in London and Grouse Lodge in Ireland have all been added to Miloco’s directory of recording studios this month.

Bieger Sound (main picture) is the third studio that Miloco has partnered with in the centre of Berlin. Owned and solely operated by producer/engineer Hannes Bieger, the mixing and production studio promises a mastering grade signal path and pristine sonics throughout. The studio has been built around a collection of vintage and modern kit, with recent clients including Tale Of Us, Steve Bug, Tiefschwarz, Ame, Mano Le Tough, John Talabot, Avatism, The Howling, Alex Niggemann, DJ Tennis and more.

Recording, writing and mixing facility Greystoke Studio (pictured, above) has also recently been added to the Miloco site. The studio has been acoustically designed to capture the best sound in the booth, live room and mixing room. Based in west London’s Hangar Lane, Greystoke has a range of instruments including a synth collection containing models from Roland, KORG, Oberheim and Sequential Circuits; a Steinway ‘Baby’ grand piano; a full drumkit; guitars; keyboards and organs. The Miloco Builds team completed the acoustic fit out following the studio’s recent rebuild, with Nick Whitaker overseeing the acoustic design.

Just over an hour’s drive from Dublin city/airport, Grouse Lodge (pictured, above) has been the creative home away from home for everyone from Bloc Party to Tom Jones since opening its doors in 2002. The Grouse Lodge complex itself includes a studio along with eight double bedrooms in three separate renovated stone outhouses. Facilities for guests include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, gym, games room, private bar and home cinema/screening room. The studio is purpose-built, integrating the existing 275-year-old stone structure, and features a control room with lots of natural daylight and a live room with ‘superb’ acoustics. The use of locally cut stone gives the space a unique feel and sound. The studio is equipped with a Neve VR60 console with flying faders/total recall, a Pro-Tools HD3 core system and 5.1 surround monitoring by Dynaudio Professional.
