Post-production house Molinare has appointed Andy Purkiss as general manager of operations to lead the ongoing development of services and ensure that the business continues to evolve in line with changing client needs.

Purkiss joins from BSkyB where he formerly held the position of head of operations. As part of the role he was responsible for managing the workflows and technical capabilities of a 400 strong creative department. He has extensive experience implementing process improvements, including Sky’s tapeless transition and file-based technology changes.

The new role at Molinare will see Purkiss employing his in-depth knowledge of production management in order to maintain the company’s first-class servicing and technical output across both film and broadcast projects. Purkiss will also manage Molinare’s bespoke ‘While You Were Sleeping’ service that allows the business to turn around post production in as little as 24 hours.
