NAMM 2014: New Midas console

Midas has released the 40-input M32 Digital Mixing Console, which comes with connectivity options for live and recording.

M32 features the same mic preamplifiers as the PRO Series consoles and Midas Pro Faders. The new console is 96kHz ready and features 192kHz AD/DA converters.

The mixer also features Ultranet for acoustic integration with the new Turbosound iQ Series active loudspeakers or IEM systems.

The M32 removes the need for outboard gear with its eight-slot stereo effects engine. Additionally, a high-quality onboard 32×32 USB interface allows real-time tracking and multiple expansion cards such as ADAT, MADI, and Dante.

“We’ve been listening to our customer requests for a lightweight, durable, and transportable Midas console,” said Al Walker, senior product manager. “We incorporated the same amazing mic preamps from the Midas PRO1 and PRO2, and gave the M32 professional-grade motorised faders for maximum durability and unparalleled accuracy. The design is compact and eye-catching, thanks to the high-tech carbon-fibre and aluminium construction – which also makes the M32 extremely light and portable.”

Music Group’s 3-Year Warranty Program covers the Midas M32.
