Nina Jackson hired at Metropolis

Metropolis Studios has appointed Nina Jackson to manage its recording studios and engineer roster.

Her 20 years of experience covers all aspects of the music industry, from music engineering and publishing to studio/tour booking and festival production. After working for a wealth of companies – including Protocol studios, Asgard Agency, Bella Union, Setanta Records, and Glastonbury Festival – Jackson started running her own live agency and producer management company.

Recently, Nina used her knowledge and experience to help Oxfam develop the annual Oxjam festival.

“I’m delighted to work in such an inspiring environment and look forward to delivering our unique services to A&Rs, artists, managers and marketing teams throughout the business,” Nina said upon her appointment. “I’m joining a forward-thinking company whose services to industry professionals is unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere.

“It immediately struck me how we can offer writing/tracking/recording packages to A&R teams in addition to Content Days for marketing teams, which helps deliver more cost-effective returns for our clients, whether they be labels or managers,” Nina continued. “Using the space here more creatively, we can accommodate exclusive gigs, film events, and there’s also our Live-To-Vinyl service, where we’re one of the very few studios in the world where artists can record, mix, master, and cut their performances direct to vinyl lacquer, as showcased on our On Track with SEAT TV series”.

Ian Brenchley, Metropolis CEO, said, “I’m thrilled to welcome someone of Nina’s calibre and experience who can bring fresh thinking into our team and re-energise the area of the business that we’re perhaps best known for. Our initial conversations have identified some really exciting ideas that will provide further added value to our clients all over the world."
