One week left to enter InstallAwards 2016

There is just one week left to enter the 2016 InstallAwards so here is all the need-to-know information about this year’s awards.

Organised by Installation magazine – a sister publication of AMI – the InstallAwards feature a total of 17 awards across a number of categories, with entries closing at midnight on Thursday 17 March.

Any individual or company may enter a maximum of three projects, either in the same category or in different ones. The projects can be any permanent or semi-permanent installation anywhere in the world, provided it was handed over to the client between 16 March 2015 and 11 February 2016 and the entrant has a UK presence.

The two main categories are Business and Entertainment, each with five awards. In the Business category there are Best Education, Best Corporate/Industrial, and Best Hospitality and Customer Spaces Project Awards, plus a Business Project Award for Innovation, which is drawn from across all entries in this category, and a Business Star Product Award.

In the Entertainment category, there are Best Large Venue, Best Small Venue, and Best Visitor Attraction Project Awards, plus an Entertainment Project Award for Innovation, again from across the entire category, and an Entertainment Star Product Award.

In addition, there are three Team of the Year Awards, a Rising Star Award and three Hall of Fame inductees.

For 2016, Installation is broadening the scope of the teamwork achievements to include Integrator’s Choice: In-House Team of the Year; Distribution Team of the Year; and Marketing Team of the Year.

For the Integrator’s Choice: In-House Team of the Year award, integrators will be looking to nominate the end-users, and their in-house AV teams, that they feel have contributed the most to successful installation projects.

The Distribution Team of the Year award will be presented to the distributor that has been the best team player in its work with integrators and/or manufacturers. The judges will be looking for evidence of responsiveness, technical proficiency and understanding customer needs.

The Marketing Team of the Year award will go to the team – either in-house or external – that has produced the best results for its client over the period from March 2015 to February 2016.

While nominations for the Integrator’s Choice award may only be made by integrators, anyone may nominate a team for the Distribution and Marketing Team awards, and you can even nominate your own team!

To nominate, go to www.installawards.com/categories and click next to the award you want to enter and answer the questions that follow. You can also submit three pictures to support your entry. Nominations are free and entries close on Thursday 17 March.

The InstallAwards will be held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in central London on the afternoon of Friday 24 June. Tickets can be bought online at www.installawards.com/buy-tickets, or email Georgia Blake.
