Pro Sound Awards: Mark Winterburn reaches the final

Mark Winterburn is a finalist in the Studio – Engineer of the Year category of the first Pro Sound Awards, which will take place on 19 September at the Ministry of Sound.

“It’s great to be nominated for this award and great to be working with all the high quality artists that come to Edge so early in my career,” said Winterburn. “Over the last year I’ve had the opportunity to work with high profile artists such as New Order, Danny O’Donoghue and 5 Seconds of Summer. The highlight so far has been working as key engineer/mixer on Plan B’s number one, Mercury Prize-, MOBO- and BRIT-nominated album ILL Manors. This was a huge step-up for me and my career.”

Finalists Simon Rhodes, Al O’Connell and Toby Alington complete the Studio – Engineer of the Year category.

“Pro Sound Awards 2013 will be a fun evening and bring key people from the industry together in recognition of all the fantastic work across every aspect of live, studio and broadcast sound,” concluded Winterburn.

The Pro Sound Awards ticket price is just £45.00. Contact Sarah Harris for further information.
