Sennheiser reveals plans for BVE North 2012

Sennheiser is heading back to Manchester next week for BVE North 2012, where the company will exhibit a vast range of microphones, wireless systems, headphones and monitoring products.

Highlights will include the MKE 600 shotgun mic, MKH 8090 wide cardioid condenser mic and Digital 9000 system (pictured), as well as the KH120 studio monitor from sister company, Neumann.

Launched at IBC 2012, Digital 9000 is a digital wireless system that can transmit completely uncompressed audio, artefact-free. Targeting broadcasting professionals, theatres and high-profile live audio events, the system, which includes the EM 9046 receiver, SKM 9000 handheld and SK 9000 bodypack transmitters, as well as a comprehensive suite of accessories, was created for the highest channel counts in today’s increasingly dense frequency environments.

The MKE 600 was designed to master even the toughest video sound challenges. The mic’s high level of directivity ensures that it picks up sound from the camera direction, while avoiding any unwanted background noise. The switchable low-cut filter minimises handling and wind noise, and users can expect a lifelike, full-bodied sound with a good bass response and pleasant speech reproduction.

The MKH 8090 has a wide cardioid pick-up pattern, which makes it ideal for orchestral recordings. The RF condenser mic is perfectly suited as both a main and spot microphone. An optional screw-on module, the MZD8000, can be used to convert it into a digital AES42 microphone.

Designed for use as a near-field loudspeaker or as a rear loudspeaker in larger multi-channel systems, the Neumann KH120 features a Mathematically Modelled Dispersion (MMD) waveguide, flexible acoustic controls, analogue class-AB amplifiers, a number of input formats and an extensive range of mounting hardware.

Sennheiser will be situated on stand E35 at the UK event, which takes place at Manchester Central Arena on November 13th and 14th 2012.
