Sound nominees for 67th Emmy Awards announced
The nominations for the 67th Emmy Awards, including the eight sound editing and mixing categories, were revealed last night (16 July 2015), Pro Sound News has reported.
The announcements were made by Television Academy chairman and CEO Bruce Rosenblum (pictured, centre) along with Uzo Aduba (left), star of Orange Is The New Black, and So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley (right).
Overall, Game of Thrones leads the way with 24 nominations, followed by American Horror Story: Freak Show and Olive Kitteridge, which received 19 and 13 nominations respectively.
According to the Television Academy, the transition to a fully online voting system this year led to double-digit increases for the nomination round. Final-round voting – online for the first time – begins 17 August.
The telecast of the ceremony will air live coast-to-coast in the US on Sunday 20 September from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
