Special voucher aimed to boost sales of UK indie labels

PriceMinister has launched a voucher code for money off of releases by indie labels, in a bid to help those affected by the fire at the Sony distribution centre during the London riots, prnewswire has reported.

With most of their physical stock destroyed by the recent blaze at the facility in Enfield, labels such as Pias have nothing to ship to record shops, relying solely, for the time being, on digital downloads. In order to drive digital sales forward, PriceMinister has launched an initiative in order to encourage people to make digital purchases of music from the affected labels.

The initiative is based around a money-off voucher, which allows buyers to make a £7 discount on their bill.
