SSE Sales takes to the road

SSE Sales recently took to the road to showcase an array of its products at its three sites in London, Redditch and Bradford.

The company attracted a wide range of visitors while on the road, including rental companies, education, councils, installation contractors and freelance engineers.

Chris Vass from L-Acoustics presented the new ARCSII, the constant curvature WST line source system, designed for medium throw applications, while Rob Hughes from Midas introduced the new PRO2 console, which SSE Hire currently has touring with Example in Europe.

Meanwhile, Avid’s James Baker presented the VENUE SC48 with the new Stage48, which provides remote I/O functionality. This gave visitors the opportunity to experience the differences between these digital console platforms in a ‘live’ situation.

Simon Jones from Sennheiser completed the quartet of manufacturers, demonstrating the networking capabilities and monitoring available with the latest G3 radio mic systems.

"The Roadshow format was a new departure for SSE", commented Alex Penn, SSE Equipment sales manager. "They proved popular and effective, enabling us to reach out to potential buyers and users across the country as we serviced 3 regions. We were particularly pleased to have four key manufacturers on board with us, especially as some presented competitive products. It gave our visitors a great insight into some of the latest pro-audio technology.

"Now we have warehouses in London, the Midlands and the North it’s a great opportunity for us to showcase the products we support and recommend. I’d like to thank all those who took the time out to come and see us and for making these events a great success."
