Stolen L-Acoustics gear reappears on the American continent

An array of L-Acoustics audio equipment missing since late 2011 has begun to resurface on the American continent.

Some of the stolen loudspeakers and subs have been offered anonymously to a third party.

A trailer full of the manufacturer’s gear was snatched in Mexico City on December 8th 2011, following a Britney Spears concert.

A total of 24 L-Acoustics K1 (pictured) and 18 V-DOSC line source elements, 12 K1-SB low-frequency extension enclosures and 48 SB-218 subwoofers were taken.

L-Acoustics is asking the American audio industry to keep an eye out for these products, and to share any knowledge on the location of the equipment with the company, Mexican Certified Provider Procolor or local law enforcement authorities.

Serial numbers are available on request and information can be submitted anonymously.

For more details, or if you’re aware of the possible whereabouts of the above items, contact L-Acoustics business development manager Jochen Frohn ( or Procolor owner and general director Javier Barba (
