Terminal Studios expands with BBC Television Centre rehearsal space

One of London’s largest rehearsal and audio hire companies, Terminal Studios, has broadened its services by offering production rehearsal space at the premium location of the BBC Television Centre.

The offering is part of a collaboration with BBC Studios and Post Production, a commercial subsidiary of the BBC, which operates the studios in BBC Television Centre, and has been introduced to deal with the high demand in production rehearsal space during the touring season.

Bands coming to Terminal Studios and looking to rehearse a full stage show will be offered a 3500 sq ft, 8000 sq ft, or a 10250 sq ft studio at the BBC Television Centre in White City, where virtually any production requirements can be accommodated. The studios are designed to offer ample power, parking, production offices and dressing rooms, as well as access to catering; elements, which were high on Terminal Studios list for its clients when the collaboration was being considered.

Charlie Barrett, managing director of Terminal Studios, explained: “We’re constantly being asked by our clients to provide bigger rooms for them to do full technical rehearsals and BBC Television Centre was the perfect fit to accommodate this overspill during the busy touring season. The studios are equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and the biggest room has a height clearance of 45 feet. Add to that the fact that it’s a central London location with great parking and loading and it’s a no brainer for our clients. Many of the acts coming through our studios in London Bridge are already familiar with Television Centre so it’s a great ad-on to what we offer.”

Acts that have already utilised the space at BBC Television Centre include Mika and Paloma Faith, with more booked in throughout the summer.
