Tileyard webinar adds Spitfire Audio and Prash Mistry as part of Leeds Digital Festival 2021

You’re invited to join a Tileyard webinar facilitating some of the biggest innovators in music technology today, as part of Leeds Digital Festival 2021.

Whether you’re a musician or a music enthusiast, you’ll learn about how these thought-leading technologies are changing our relationship to music, forever.

Tileyard will be be joined by Hazel Savage (CEO and Co-Founder of Musiio), Ryan Edwards (Founder and CEO of Audoo), Prash Engine-Earz Mistry (Grammy-nominated Producer, Mixing & Mastering Engineer) and Will Evans, CEO of Spitfire Audio.

The webinar will be broken down into three segments:

Music Creation – We’ll discuss Spitfire Audio’s gamechanging sample libraries and how they have revolutionised music creation for music makers, followed by a discussion on how Dolby Atmos is changing the way we experience music.

Music Selection – We’ll hear about Musiio and how they build artificial intelligence software, which uses sophisticated neural networks and machine learning processes to scan and categorise music.

Music Royalties – We’ll be hearing about how Audoo’s brand new Audio Meter is revolutionising public performance royalties through accurate data collection that has never been seen before.

Havel Savage (CEO and Co-Founder of Musiio)

With 15 years experience in the industry, Hazel is a music-tech lifer, guitarist and CEO/Co-Founder at Musiio. She started her music-tech journey as an early employee at Shazam and spent time understanding the pain points of the industry at Pandora, Universal and HMV before launching Musiio in 2018.

Hazel travels the world speaking at conferences and educating catalogue owners about the value of artificial intelligence integration and digital transformation in the music industry. As a female CEO in the heavily male-dominated industries of music and tech, Hazel offers a breath of fresh air and insight, with interesting and humorous anecdotes, as well as easy-to-follow explanations and digestible use cases of artificial intelligence technology.

Ryan Edwards (Founder and CEO of Audoo)

Ryan is the founder of Audoo, a technology company, who operate within the music industry that are revolutionising performance royalties through accurate data. They have created an Audio Meter which tracks music played across public performance locations, with levels of accuracy that haven’t been seen before. Using real-time data, Audoo help Performing Right Organisations (PROs) & Collective Management Organisations (CMOs) digitise and streamline their processes.

Ryan has both a Musical and Technology background. Having had a successful career as a musician in the noughties band The Lines, where he was the drummer, scoring a top 10 hit with their track Domino effect. To then be followed by significant roles at institutional tech brand Visa Europe, where he was head of digital, as well as start-up tech specialists Bink where he was Head of Sales. Alongside his role as CEO at Audoo, he currently also sits on the board as Non-Executive Director at an exciting FinTech start-up Findr.

Will Evans – CEO, Spitfire Audio

Will is the CEO of Spitfire Audio, a music technology company producing world-class sounds used by composers and producers across movies, TV, games

and records. Spitfire Audio has collaborated with the likes of Hans Zimmer, Abbey Road and the BBC Symphony Orchestra to release products, and has over one million users, globally. The Spitfire Audio family of brands includes LABS, Composer Magazine, SA Recordings and Pianobook.

Will holds a PhD in Psychoacoustic Engineering from the Institute of Sound Recording at the University of Surrey, where he also lectured in Electroacoustics on the Tonmeister course. His thesis focused on loudspeaker directivity, and prior to that he received a Masters in Acoustical Engineering from the University of Southampton, researching a similar topic. Alongside his academic studies, Will founded a small record label and artist management company in London, and the combination of his two interests led to his work in music technology. Working for a number of years at Focusrite Audio Engineering Ltd, he moved to Spitfire Audio as Global Sales & Marketing Manager in 2016, and he was invited to become the CEO in 2018 where he has since overseen significant growth.

Will is also a non-executive director for Saffron Records, an organisation promoting women in music making

Prash Engine-Earz Mistry (Grammy-nominated Producer, Mixing & Mastering Engineer)

Prash “Engine-Earz” Mistry is a multiple Grammy-nominated, 2 x Diamond certified mixing & mastering engineer / music producer based at Tileyard London. He has currently just had the first Dolby Atmos studio fitted at Tileyard, and has been a working advocate for the technology.

​Although known as an in-house mix & mastering engineer with Jorja Smith & her label, FAMM – with whom he proudly shares the 2018 Mercury / Brit nominations for her gold debut album “Lost & Found” & Platinum single ‘Be Honest’ ft. Burna Boy; Prash is also recognised as Billboard No.1 mixer/mastering engineer for Kali Uchis platinum 1st Latin album ‘Sin Miedo’ which features Global smash ‘Telepatia’.

​Amongst his other close collaborators is Liam Howlett, having mastered the Prodigy’s latest UK Number 1 album ‘No Tourists’ and more. Genres are no obstacles for Engine-Earz, working on records with Stormzy, Kid Cudi, J. Balvin, SZA, Kelis, Aloe Blacc, The Great Khalid, Skepta, PartyNextDoor, Wretch32, Maisie Peters, Enter Shikari, Kali Uchis, Erick the Architect, St. Vincent, MIA, H.E.R., Rapsody, Gorillaz, RZA, Rico Nasty, ODB, Maverick Sabre, Kojey Radical, Hudmo, FARR, XL, Akala and many more. In 2018 he was nominated for the Grammy for Best immersive audio as a surround producer/mixer for his own artist album ‘Symbol’ (Circus Records). He recently won a Swedish Grammy for his work on Ane Brun’s “After the Great Storm” album. Supporting new talent has always been at the core of Engine-Earz mission in music, having worked with many artists from early in their musical journeys. Current future stars include Enny, Berwyn (2021 Mercury nominee), Glaive, Dance System, Linden Jay, Harry Edwards, Nayana IZ, Mychelle & Kasien to name a few!
