Wharfedale Pro expands DP-series power amplifiers with two new four channel DP-D models

Wharfedale Pro has expanded its DP series of Class D digital amplifiers with two powerful new DP-D models, the DP-4100D and the DP-4150D.

Housed in a 1U rack, the DP-D models are compact and lightweight. Both models feature the same user interface, channel count and DSP engine, the only  difference being their output power.

Both four channel models are stable down to 2Ohms, and offer a maximum power output of 14.2kW, depending on the chosen configuration. They’re designed to partner multi-speaker systems, such as Wharfedale Pro’s WLA-series line array.

The DP-4150D can deliver 4 x 1500w at 8 Ohms, while the DP-4100D offers 4 x 1000W.

All DP-D models feature powerful DSP accessible through either the front channel or through supplied control software. Operated from a single page, this is quick to monitor and can be edited remotely.

With granular editing of EQ, Limiting, Delay, Phase and Filtering to the main path, this UI allows any DP-D amplifier to act as the system controller as well as the main power amplifier. There’s no need for additional external signal processing.

Input connectivity comprises either four discrete analogue XLR connectors on the rear panel, or RS485 connectors on the front, which can accept AES3 digital inputs.
