2015 BAFTA nominees announced

With the exciting reveal in the entertainment world of the 2015 BAFTA nominees, the pro-audio community holds its collective breath as we wait to see which film will raise the coveted BAFTA for Best Sound this year.

Unveiled via Facebook earlier today, the five nominations celebrate the hard work that each has invested into pushing the envelope for professional sound production and post in the film industry. But only one can enjoy the glory of taking home the award.

The nominations are as follows:

Best Sound Category

American Sniper – Walt Martin, John Reitz, Gregg Rudloff, Alan Robert Murray, Bub Asman

Birdman – Thomas Varga, Martin Hernández, Aaron Glascock, Jon Taylor, Frank A Montaño

The Grand Budapest Hotel – Wayne Lemmer, Christopher Scarabosio, Pawel Wdowczak

The Imitation Game – John Midgley, Lee Walpole, Stuart Hilliker, Martin Jensen

Whiplash – Thomas Curley, Ben Wilkins, Craig Mann

The BAFTA awards will be held on 8 February at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
