Absolute Music teams up with SSL for in-store events

Dorset-based retailer Absolute Music will be focusing on Solid State Logic’s (SSL) studio solutions throughout June 2013.

As part of the month’s activity, Solid State Logic and its UK distributor Sound Technology will present two events at Absolute’s new superstore.

Saturday June 8th will be an SSL Open Day at the shop. Adam Wilkinson from SSL and experienced mix engineer Gary Bromham will be on hand to offer production and system advice, as well as show off SSL’s advanced audio solutions for modern studios. The SSL Matrix, X-Rack system, X-Desk, Nucleus, MADI-equipped AlphaLink I/O, and API 500-Series format modules will all be demonstrated, and the Open Day will from 10am to 6pm.

On Wednesday June 26th, visitors will get an opportunity to see and hear an exclusive demonstration of SSL’s upcoming Sigma remote controlled analogue mix engine, presented by the company’s Nathan Hernando. Sigma, which ships on late summer this year, offers 32 channels of SSL Super Analogue processing in a 2u rack, all controlled via the automation within the chosen DAW. This event runs from 6pm to 8pm.

Both events are free but registration is required. For more information or to sign up, click here.
