Alcons Audio appoints Dutch ‘Pro-Ribbon Partner’

Alcons Audio has appointed FACE as its ‘Pro-Ribbon Partner’ for the Netherlands.

The new deal means Alcons’ sales and support for the country’s rental and installation market will now be handled by the Dutch branch of FACE.

“Over the last few years the international expansion of Alcons Audio with factory-owned subsidiaries in the US, India and Germany, and partners in over 30 countries, have shown that as a manufacturer, we have our hands full on supply and support on an international level," said Alcons MD Tom Back (pictured, left). "Up until now, we supported the Dutch market directly from our headquarters in Zwaag, but with our structure, couldn’t fully ‘work’ the market as the potential required. This made us reconsider our sales approach in our home market and triggered my thoughts to look for a Pro-Ribbon Partner in the Netherlands.

"Having met Karel de Piere [CEO] of FACE already years ago, and being aware of his ambitions with FACE, I contacted him about this proposition. Needless to say, we will give full-factory back-up and make our factory location in the Netherlands to our customers advantage.”

de Piere (pictured, right) added: “The timing from Tom was almost perfect. We already established a major position in the Dutch MI retail market and were looking to expand our professional offering. With the addition of Alcons Audio we made a big move forward for our professional and system integration customers.”

“Alcons Audio is a perfect match to our mission to select brands who are innovative, and in our vision to work together with people who believe in partnership. The pro-ribbon transducer technology is new to many, but has already convinced a fast growing number of sound engineers and designers worldwide.”

FACE has also strengthened its team recently, hiring Reinier Bruijns and Frank De Vos, who will represent the company’s Professional and Integration division in the Netherlands.

Both companies will be at ISE 2014 in Amsterdam, where Alcons is exhibiting on stand 6-N148, and FACE has taken stand 7-C220.
