Altinex appoints newly created Vice President of Sales

The California-based signal management equipment manufacturer, Altinex, has appointed Grant Cossey to the newly appointed position of Vice President of Sales.

Cossey has over 15 years of audio visual experience which includes previous work alongside equipment manufacturers and the industry’s dealers and integrators. Altinex and looking forward to seeing this experience being utilised as Cossey oversees the company’s sales operations.

Cossey’s new role will see him spearheading the company’s sales objectives by contributing market and sales information to strategic initiatives and reviews. This he will do by implementing production, quality and customer service standards and completing actions plans.

In addition, Cossey will be in charge of sales forecasting at the company. He will analyse market trends and interpret the company’s responses. He will also oversee the annual and gross profit plans for the company by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas, projecting anticipated sales volume and the profit for new and existing lines. He will also monitor costs, competition and supply and demand at the company.

Cossey’s background prior to joining Altinex prepares him well for this challenging role. He was previously the National Sales Manager for Presentation Switches. Whilst here, he oversaw sales, dealer training initiatives, sales and marketing materials and internet-based training. In addition, Cossey had acted as Senior Sales Manager for Southland technology where he focused on A/V design and sales targeted largely at Federal Government business. Furthermore, he was West Coast Business Unit Manager at Karcher Group, West Coast Regional Manager for Analog Way and regional Manager for Anderson Audio Visual.

Cossey started the role in December 2011 and is based at the Altinex corporate HQ at Brea, California.
