AMPS reveals Excellence in Sound Film Award nominees

The nominations for the Association of Motion Picture Sound’s (AMPS) third annual award for Excellence in Sound for a Feature Film have been released.

Five films exhibited in 2015 were selected by an AMPS Awards Committee, from which leading sound crew members (production sound, sound editing and re-recording) were put forward for the prize.

Stuart Wilson, production sound mixer on Spectre and Star Wars – The Force Awakens said, "To receive an AMPS Award nomination is a very special honour for me because it is selected by some of the finest sound professionals working today. The AMPS is a UK film and television sound organisation with a global membership of over 450 experienced recording, mixing and sound editing professionals in the cinema and television industry.

Dolby Laboratories, a long-time AMPS Sustaining Member, will once again be sponsoring the award.
