APR chooses Allen & Heath for Glastonbury

UK rental firm, APR has revealed that it will use Allen & Heath’s iLive digital mixing system for both the John Peel and West Holts stages at this year’s Glastonbury festival.

The stages will comprise an iLive-176 Control Surface on monitors and an iLive-144 at FOH with iDR10 modular MixRack and iDR-64 MixRack. The compact R72 control surface will be used for system management on the stages.

Allen & Heath popped up in various areas throughout the 2010 festival, as Ellie Goulding used an iLive set up for a performance on the John Peel stage. Monitor engineer, Steve Pattison, used a mixture of the R72 surface and a touch screen laptop, which gave him the flexibility to talk to the artists during sound check, and move around the venue during the show.

Audio Pro’s July/August issue will feature a full report on the gear used at Glastonbury.
