Audient begins to distribute directly to German dealers

Hampshire-based pro audio manufacturer, Audient, has now begun to supply German dealers directly with its products after a strong period of growth in the European state.

The move sees Simon Horn join the company as the Regional Sales Manager. Horn will become the point of contact for both current and future customers in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. He will originally be based at the company’s Herriard headquarters and will handle sales and support for the region.

The stimulus for this move also emerged from the strong return gained from forging direct relations with customers elsewhere in the world.

“Having developed direct relationships with our dealers in the UK and US and seen the benefit to sales and support that this has brought,” explained Audient’s Sales & marketing Director, Luke Baldry, “we’re very excited to be able to offer this service to our German customers too.”

Horn—starting out as a musician—has a Masters in Audio Technology and has taught Music Technology to degree level in the past.

“I’m passionate about music, recording and technology,” stated Horn. “I have the additional bonus of understanding the needs of educational facilities, which is invaluable given Audient’s excellent track record in educational centres around the world. Making quality professional audio technology available to more people is Audient’s philosophy and I am pleased to be able to facilitate this in these important markets.”

This announcement came soon after Audient announced their new compact console the ASP4816 which received its official launch at the SAE Institute London in Hackney on January 31st with the help of folk/rock band Flight Brigade.

The company are hopeful that this new console will attract interest across all Audient’s markets.

“The product information and images we have released so far have created a lot of excitement,” added Baldry, “and I’m confident that customers and dealers all over the globe will not be disappointed.”
