Audio-Technica heads to Real World Studios for 50 Series mic event

A select group of Audio-Technica distributors, studio owners and leading music technology press from across Europe were recently invited to the company’s 50 Series event, held at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios near Bath on 22 September.

During the day visitors attended a series of presentations – held in the studio’s impressive control room (The Big Room) – covering the development of the new AT5047 microphone, a brief history of key Audio-Technica microphone innovations and an insight into their manufacture.

These were complemented by some exclusive live-in-the-studio performances from acoustic guitar ace Chris Woods and kora player Kweku Mainoo.

“We were delighted to showcase our 50 Series microphones at this exclusive event – and Real World Studios proved the perfect setting to highlight the natural, dynamic nature of the new AT5047,” said Audio-Technica marketing manager professional audio Tim Page. “It was a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the 50 Series and fully experience their capabilities in one of the most prestigious recording spaces in the world.”
