Focusrite launches iTrack Studio

Focusrite has unveiled iTrack Studio, a complete system for recording music on an iPad or computer.

Based around the firm’s iTrack Solo – a two-in, two-out computer audio interface featuring Focusrite’s mic preamp technology – the iTrack Studio kit includes HP60S closed-back monitor headphones, a CM25S condenser microphone with XLR mic cable and a 30-pin device link cable to connect the interface to the iPad.

Users can take advantage of up to 24 bit, 96kHz recording, featuring Focusrite’s digital conversion technology, as well as the free Tape by Focusrite app for iPad (available in the Autumn). It is also compatible with Garageband, Cubasis, and various other existing iPad recording apps.

iTrack Solo offers dual inputs for recording instrument and vocals simultaneously. Dual outputs drive monitors and the headphones for an accurate impression of what’s being recorded.

The CM25S mic will faithfully capture almost anything placed in front of it, Focusrite says, from vocals to piano, acoustic guitar and much more. The HP60S headphones are included to ensure accurate reference monitoring of everything recorded, and effectively isolate the listener from the external environment.
