Hard-Fi using Audient ASP4816 for upcoming third album

An Audient ASP4816 console has been chosen to record the much-anticipated next album from UK indie rock band Hard-Fi.

Vocalist and guitarist Richard Archer and his fellow group members reached number one in the UK album chart with their first two records, and have now made the Audient desk the latest addition to their own private Cherry Lips studio near Staines, UK.

“It is straightforward, easy to use and sounds great – and we have really noticed that. I like the compact nature of it; there isn’t too much to worry about,” said Archer. “There are a lot of little features that make your life easier. The ability to switch either path onto the long faders is great and we love the bus compressor too.”

Loaded with features usually associated with much larger recording consoles, the compact ASP4816 offers Audient’s intuitive design and analogue circuitry.

Formed in 2003, Hard-Fi has so far sold 1.25 million copies of its debut album Stars of CCTV worldwide, with its second record Once Upon A Time in the West also proving successful globally.
