IBC 2013: John Lennon Tour Bus to stop at Amsterdam show

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, a state-of-the-art mobile audio and video production facility, will stop off at the IBC show in Amsterdam next week.

Following the success of its 16-year-old counterpart in the US, the European bus, which was launched by Yoko Ono in Liverpool back earlier this year, is currently touring across the continent, offering youngsters the opportunity to take part in songwriting and multimedia production workshops.

With a crew of three producer/engineers on board, the bus is visiting local schools, colleges and festivals, where it hands out free tours and workshops for young people, who are given access to high-end audio visual equipment and instruments.

The one-of-a-kind vehicle features an integrated studio provided by Sony Professional Solutions Europe, which includes two studio environments; robotic video cameras; switchable glass doors that switch from clear to opaque for aded privacy; green screen production capabilities; and a ‘Peace Deck’ on the upper level for interviews, live music, DJs, and bands.

The bus will be parked at Congress Square for the duration of the event.

The IBC Conference takes place at Amsterdam RAI from September 12th to 17th 2013, with the exhibition running from September 13th to 17th.
