InfoComm 2012: Merging Technologies to showcase Ovation

Merging Technologies and Independent Audio are to showcase the Ovation and Horus systems at the InfoComm 2012 show in Las Vegas.

The Ovation system, which will be on show at Booth C9849, was recently at the heart of an investment from Merging Technologies’ Dutch distributor Maarten’s Sound & Vision, which delivered a sixth Ovation to the Amsterdam Music Theatre.

The Theatre is housed in a prestigious building, which includes the Amsterdam City Hall and was completed in. It overlooks the Amstel River and is home to the Dutch National Ballet and The Dutch Opera (DNO), whilst also hosting frequent visiting productions by other companies from the Netherlands and the rest of the world. And as with any major theatre of this type, it has played host to some of world’s most celebrated artists and companies.

"Ovation is the perfect playout software, which gives us the opportunity of building complex performances in a fast and efficient way. When there’s an injured dancer or when we travel across the country, we often have to quickly adapt some settings to the venue we’re visiting, shorten a piece of music or suddenly have to start it on cue. Ovation works perfectly in combination with the Pyramix software to edit as fast as we need to and provide cues into Ovation without rendering. It’s easy to operate, sounds good and has proven its reliability," commented Michiel Jansen, AVC, the Amsterdam Music Theatre.
