ISE 2012: Shure unveils its new Microflex series microphones

The pro audio manufacturer, Shure, is to reveal the new additions to its Microflex microphone series at the Integrated Systems Europe 2012 event being held in Amsterdam between January 31st and February 2nd.

The Illinois-based company will be revealing its lavalier MX150 and its earset MX153. Both mics come with CommShield Technology. This helps guard the mics from interference from consumer wireless devices such as mobile phones/cell phones.

The MX150 is their professional subminiature condenser lavalier microphone. This is ideal for discreet placement and speech applications. The mic has a Kevlar-reinforced soft-flex cable that helps reduce handling noise whilst the multi-position tie clip allows for a variety of positioning options. Finally, it has a windscreen which protects the mic from plosives and wind noise.

The MX153 is an omnidirectional subminiature earset microphone. Its design is ultra-lightweight and its flexible and stable design means that it can be easily fitted with minimal adjustment and remains comfortable throughout use. It is ideal for corporate and educational presentations as well as A/V conferencing.

The MX153 is available in three colours: Matte Black, Tan and Cocoa. It is also provided with a protective storage pouch, three windscreens and a collar clip.
