ISE 2014: Avid to show off S3L system and Pro Tools 11

Avid will display several of its new live sound audio solutions, including the S3L system and Pro Tools 11 at ISE 2014.

The company will form part of industry forum the AVnu Alliance’s pavilion (Hall 7, stand H195) at the show, which gets underway in Amsterdam next week (February 4th – 6th 2014).

S3L (pictured) and Pro Tools 11 are also set to be included in a live Ethernet AVB (Audio Video Bridging) interoperability demonstration with other AVB-capable products from Meyer Sound and Extreme Networks run by AVnu Alliance to highlight how AVB can simplify AV networks in a live sound environment.

“Avid has led the live sound industry in seeing the potential of Ethernet AVB, having been the first to introduce it into an audio console with the SC48 Remote System. More recently, in another pioneering move, the Avid S3L System is the industry’s first console designed entirely around the open AVB standard,” said Tim Carroll, vice president of Worldwide Audio Programs at Avid. “The AVnu Alliance demonstration will be a perfect platform to show visitors to ISE the benefits of AVB and how the Avid S3L System and Pro Tools 11 perform reliably in a live environment.”
